Mary is graphic designer, art director and creative strategist currently based in New England.
Born and raised in the Midwest, she spent a decade in Chicago designing magazines, launching brands, running design-thinking workshops, and art directing photo shoots. Currently, she is the Art Director at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the design lead at Harvard Public Health magazine.
Mary is drawn to visual design as a means of communicating before language and conveying meaning before use. Her curiosity and pragmatism guides her process, which allows for research, experimentation, and play. She is most fulfilled when collaborating with other creative folx and critical thinkers.
When not at her computer, she is passionate about transportation access and equity as well as creating a sustainable future. She also listens to a lot of audiobooks, is usually planning a trip, and slings beers once a week at a local brewery.
