Chicago Parks District: Request app
In 2017, the Chicago Parks District launched a campaign to attract visitors to its newly opened Southeast Side Parks. These natural areas are ecologically diverse and hold a rich industrial history. As project manager and art director, I helped shape the identity for the city-wide campaign. In addition, an app, ReQuest, was developed to help visitors further engage with the area.
In ReQuest, users embark on a clue-based scavenger hunt through three southeast Chicago parks, learning first-hand about the industrial history, ecological diversity and future planning of the area. In addition to project management and art direction, I led the research, copy writing and copy editing of the app, working closely with both the Chicago Parks District team and the external developers.
